Roasted maple neck and rosewood fingerboard
The neck is made of heat-treated maple. The heat treatment provides shape stability, resistance to warping, water resistance, and resistance to temperature changes.
After several prototypes and verifications, we concluded that 20.5*22.5 (at1F*12F) was the best neck thickness.
The back of the neck is finished with a satin finish to ensure smooth playing comfort.
The fretboard is made of rosewood, which is known for its tenacious and mild mid-range sound.

Hyperion pickups co-developed with Seymour Duncan
We obtained more than dozens of pickups and measured their frequency response. We then determined the specifications and sound image of the pickups that we thought would be most suitable for AZ, and developed these pickups in collaboration with Seymour Duncan, a company with a long history as a pickup brand and one that continues to make new efforts even today. This is a pickup for AZ.
This is a custom pickup that focuses on the followability and reproducibility of picking, with the output being kept low so that the cleanness of the original sound remains somewhere even when distorted.
The total balance from treble to bass and from the 1st to 6th strings is important, and we also pursued good effect effects. Alnico-5 magnets are used.
