ROSS / COMPRESSOR made in 1978 is in stock!

The ROSS brand was established in the U.S.A. by a company called Keas Electronics, and many of you have probably heard the name ROSS/COMPRESSOR at least once.
It is no exaggeration to say that ROSS compressors, which were extremely popular like MXR DynaComp, are the origin of modern compressors. Incidentally, it is a well-known story that the ROSS brand name “ROSS” comes from the owner, Bud Ross.

ROSS/COMPRESSOR was born in 1978. Even at that time, it was a compressor with a gray-colored chassis and a unique atmosphere. The first models had SUSTAIN and OUTPUT controls, and there were only a few of them, so their value as a vintage compressor has increased. Although it has a little bit of a crackling sound compared to other compressors, it is characterized by a very natural effect.

This is an early model of SUSTAIN. The operational amplifier is an RCA CA3080E. The controls are labeled “SUSTAIN” and “OUTPUT,” and it is believed to be the first model made in 1978.
