At the age of nine, Mehmet Tamdeer began working for Mikael Zilcan, the grandson of Kerope Zilcan. Mikael Zilcan and Kirkor Kkyan taught Mr. Tamdeer every aspect of this ancient Turkish art, with a history that stems back to the early 17th century. After completing a very busy 60 plus years of cymbal making, Mr. Tamdeger is very proud to continue making original, traditional Turkish cymbals for todays modern music.
